Udupi : Foul smell forces AC to adjourn court proceedings!

Udupi, July 12, 2013 :  The AC Court proceedings  in the Udupi taluk office  had to be adjourned  half way through on July 11, Thursday. The reason-the entire court premises was stinking, possibly because some  rat might have died in some corner of the hall. In fact the court functions from here only once a week.

As usual, the AC, advocates and clients had gathered and the court was to hear 101 cases.  But as foul smell was unbearable particularly at the podium were the AC was seated, the officer  sat quiet for some time as some others held  their nose tight with their hands.

And finally when none could tolerate the foul smell,the AC adjourned the meeting within five minutes.

An advocate was heard saying that the court premises need to have been thoroughly cleaned up before the proceedings commenced.
