Udupi, April 7,2017 : Police have arrested six more persons on April 6, Thursday in connection with the assault attempt on Udupi Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner at Kandlur during a raid on the illegal sand extraction site there. The DC’s gunman and a village accountant were injured in the attack.
With the arrest of six persons on Thursday, the total number of arrests in the case has risen to 14.
Those arrested are Goraknath (40), Bhoothan (54), Anil (25), Saravan Kumar (25), Ravi of Dharwad and Inayitulla of Kandlur.
Except the last two all others are from Uttar Pradesh.
