US Scholarships for Public Health Students of Nitte University

Mangalore, 21 May 2015: Four of Master of Public Health (MPH) students selected from Nitte University to participate in summer institute at University of Minnesota, School of Public Health at Minneapolis, USA for three weeks period from May 26th 2015 onwards.

These students are from maiden batch of MPH Program studying at Department of Public health in K.S.Hegde Medical Academy were awarded with a scholarship worth 23000 US dollars (Rs.15,00,000) where students get additional academic credits on contextual modules of global public health.

Nitte University has also deputed Dr.Sudeep Shetty, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Public Health to audit this summer institute and strengthen future tie-ups between Nitte & Minnesota.

Dr. Archana R, Ms. Jennifer Mathias, Ms. Niveditha P J and Ms. Nolita Saldanha got this opportunity to get this global exposure in the field of public health.
