Mangalore, May 29: Two Carmelite deacons received Holy Orders recently. The Carmelite Order has received a large number of energetic young men into its fold this year.
The recently ordained deacons are Fr. Ivan Sanctis, who was ordained by Archbishop Ambrose Madtha, the Apostolic Nuncio to Ivory Coast, West Africa, on May 28 at Gantalkatte; and Fr. Rajesh Madtha, who was also ordained by Archbishop Ambrose Madtha on May 26 at Belthangady.
Fr. Sanctis is the eldest son of Patris and Philomena Sanctis. He joined the Carmelite Order in 1998 and went to Tanzania for theological studies. He said that he would like to serve the people in Tanzania.
Fr. Rajesh Madtha is the youngest child of Robert and Alice Madtha of Belthangady.
