Speaking on the occasion, Badriya Pre University College Principal Dr. N. Ismaeel said that a novelist’s major responsibility is to compare old views and new thoughts. He further said that the two novels have contributed a great deal to the development of Beary literature in spite of their minor flaws and contradictions.

peaking about the two novels, he said that Tharavad creates an impression of being a recollection of history, but attracts readers through the use of rare words and beautiful description.
Stating that Nando Raya Nando Samskriti is smaller than Tharavad, he said that it illustrates the conflict between culture and civilization. He also appreciated the writers for keeping their work free of communalism.

Speaking on Tharavad, writer Ismath Pajeer said that the book attempts to revive the lost Beary culture while introducing a number of forgotten words.

M. B. Abdul Rahman, the president of the Beary Sahithya Academy, presided. The introductory address was delivered the Registrar Umarabba.
