Mangaluru, Sep 13,2016: Train services from Mangaluru to, Chennai and other places in Tamil Nadu have been normal, a senior official from the Southern Railway told local media.
Reports state that train services to and from Tamil Nadu to Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka resumed as normal on Monday morning. The South Western Railway’s Bengaluru Divisional Manager, Sanjiv Agarwal, told media that there is no likelihood of disruption or cancellation of services in the wake of the prevailing tension. There were no reports of violence or damage within the railway premises, he added.
Reservation counter : The computerised passenger reservation centres for Southern Railway will work for only one shift (between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., as on Sundays) Sept 14, Wednesday, on account of Onam, a press release indicates.
