Train movement disrupted in Konkan and Mangalore-Bangalore routes

Mangalore, July 17: A landslide on the Konkan railway route between Sindhudurg and Kudal stations has blocked services of Mumbai-Mangalore-Kerala bound trains. As many as six trains are running late. The train services on this route are expected to be restored by 12.30 pm.

Engine derailed between Kadakaravalli and Donigul stations of South Western Railway (Mangalore –Bangalore route) due to a huge boulder that had fallen on the track. Consequent to this, train 16517, Yesvantpur-Kannur Express has been cancelled between Hassan and Kannur. Similarly, train 16518 Kannur - Yesvantpur express has also been cancelled between Kannur and Mangalore. The train service is expected to be restored by 6 pm.
Change in the schedule of Train Service in South Western Railway

Light engine derailed between Kadakaravalli and Donigul S.W.Railway, as it hit a huge boulder which had fell onto the track. Consequent on this, the Train No.
16517, Yashwatpur – Kannur Express has been cancelled between Hassan and Kannur. Similarly, Train No.
16518, Kannur – Yashwatpur Express, will also stand cancelled between Kannur and Mangalore. The train service is expected to be restored by 14.00 hours today.
 
Change in the schedule of Train Service of Kerala bound trains in Konkan Railway

Land slide occurred in the Konkan Railway between Sindhudurg and Kudal Stations, blocking the service of Kerala bound trains. The following trains are running late as indicated below:

Train No.16345, Lokmanya Tilak – Thiruvananthapuram Netravati Express is running late by 12(twelve) hours today.

Train No.12619, Lokmanya Tilak – Mangalore Matsyagandha Express is running late by 9(nine) hours today.

Train No.12223, Lokmanya Tilak-Ernakulam Duronto Express is now running late by 6 (six) hours today.

Train No.12133, Mumbai CST – Mangalore Jn Express running late by 7(seven) hours today.

Train No.12620, Mangalore Jn-Lokmanya Tilak Matsyagandha Express, scheduled to start from Mangalore Jn at 12.50 hrs., will start only at 21.00 hours today.

Train No.12134, Mangalore Jn-Mumbai CST Express, scheduled to start from Mangalore Jn at 16.45 hrs., will start only at 00.15 hours of 18-07-2011.

The restoration of train service in this route is expected to be completed by 12.00 noon today.
