Train derails on Konkan Railway route in Madgaon, affects several trains from City

Madgaon, May 3, 2015: The rear ten coaches of 12223 LTT-Ernakulam Duronto Express derailed at 6.24am on Sunday at south of Madgaon, near Balli station. No casualties or injuries have been reported. However, trains on the Konkan Railway (KR) route may be delayed on Sunday and some could be cancelled as well, officials said.

 

The other passenger trains on the same route are likely to be regulated/diverted/cancelled or the KR may arrange for trans-shipment of commuters. The position of trains on the route are as below:

Following trains are short terminated:
1) 22636 Mangalore-Madgaon of 03/05/2015 terminated at Karwar.
2) 70102 Karwar - Madgapm of 03/05/2015 short terminated at Loliem.


Following trains will be Diverted  :
1)  16337 OKHA - Ernakulam of 02/05/2015
2)  02065 CSTM-Ernakulam of 03/05/2015
3)  22634 Nizamuddin-Trivandrum of 01/05/2015
4)  11097 Pune-Ernakulam of 02/05/2015
5)  16312 Kochuveli-Bikaner of 02/05/2015

Following trains shall remain Cancelled:
1) 22635 Madgaon-Mangalore of 03/05/2015 
2) 70101 Madgaon-Karwar of 03/05/2015
3) 10215 Madgaon-Ernakulam of 03/05/2015
4) 56641 Madgaon-Mangalore of 03/05/2015

Following trains shall remain Partially Cancelled:
1) 56640 Mangalore-Madgaon of 03/05/2015 will run between Mangalore and Karwar only.
2) 12133 CSTM-Mangalore Jn of 02/05/2015 is cancelled between Madgaon and Mangalore Jn.
3) 12134 Mangalore Jn - CSTM of 03/05/2015 is cancelled between Mangalore Jn and Madgaon.

LATEST CGANGES:

 

Further to this office Press Release No. J/Pub/PR/13 dated 03 May 2015, the following are the changes in train services  due to the  derailment of train No.  12223 Lokmanya tilak - Ernakulam Duronto Express.

 

1. Train No.56640 Mangalore Central – Madgaon Passenger of 03.05.2015 is cancelled. Rake of the train is in use to run a special train up to Ernakualm Junction with the passengers of derailed train. ( The passenger special is expected to arrive  Mangalore Junction at 15.30 hrs. today) 

2. Train No.10216 Ernakualm Junction – Madgaon Express of 04.05.2015 is cancelled due to cancellation of the pairing train.
