Tragic road mishap at Kumble leaves 2 dead, 2 critical

Kasargod, Dec 22, 2013: A tragic accident near the Haledevi Talkies at Kumble on December 21, Saturday morning, has claimed the lives of two members of a family while leaving two others with critical injuries.
The deceased are A.A. Ibrahim Haji alias Ibrahim Malige(48), a resident of Eriyal, Zuhara (40), his sister. Their mother Dainabi (65) and Zuhara’s husband M P Mohammed Kunhi (49) of Mogral, were seriously injured in the mishap and have been admitted to a hospital in Mangalore.
Two others in the car namely Zainaba(38), wife of Ibrahim and Zuhara’s daughter Jumaila (15) were lucky enough to escape without any injury.
The mishap took place when the family was returning in a car after attending a Swalat ceremony in Bayar. It is learnt the driver of the car veered the car to the roadside to avert collision with another vehicle and in the event overturned.
It is learnt, the car was badly mangled in the mishap.
A few Ayyappa devotees who were passing that way in a vehicle stopped over to help the injured.
