Tiruchinapalli man arrested for stealing Rs 20 lakh in Mangaluru

arrestMangaluru, Aug 19, 2016:  A person identified as Madhusudan (40) from Malaipatti in Tiruchinapalli, Tamil Nadu  has been arrested by the Pandeshwar  Police in connection with the case of theft of Rs 20 lakh cash which was kept under the seat of a parked scooter  near the Regional Transport Office here on August 6 last year. A cash of Rs 10,000 which was in possession of the accused has been seized. Police said that the  accused was a member of the notorious gang of thieves from Ramoji Nagar in Tiruchinapalli.

The stolen  cash  belonged to Rajesh who had kept the same under the seat cover for safety as it was given to him by someone who had asked him to keep it safely. But   the cash was missing when  he returned from the RTO office following which a complaint was lodged.
