Thousands witness annual ’Kodial Teru’ at Shree Venkataramana Temple

Mangaluru, Feb 1, 2020: It was an event of grandeur as also religious fervour. Thousands of devotees witnessed the annual car festival popularly known  as Kodial Theru of the Shree Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet in the city on Saturday, February 1st evening.

Srimad Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji, Matadhipathi of Sri Kashi Math Samsthan present on the occasion.

Earlier in the morning various rituals were held in the Temple as a prelude to the Dodda Theru. The idols of the deities were offered Abhisheka including Gangabhisheka, Shatkalashabhisheka and Panchamritha. Later Poornahuti was offered at the Yajna Mantap of the Temple following which the idols were placed in the chariot.
