Tension near B.C.Road Kaikamba after KSRTC bus crew assault car driver

Bantwal, May 28, 2015:  An incident wherein a car driver was reportedly assaulted by a KSRTC bus driver and other staff   sparked tension at Ponnodi near Kaikamba in  B.C. Road on May 27, Wednesday evening.

 

 

The incident took place opposite the KSRTC bus report in the town. Soon after this incident, a group of angry people rushed to the KSRTC depot and tried to assault the staff there.

It all began when Azeez who was heading towards Kaikamba came across a KSRTC bus proceeding towards the depot. When  the way was thus blocked there resulted an argument between the  drivers resulting in the assault of Azeez.

The Bantwal police rushed to the spot and succeeded in dispersing the crowd  which had barged into the KSRTC depot following the incident.

Additional security personnel have been deployed in Kaikamba following the incident.

In the meantime, councillor Mohammad Sharief has alleged that some KSRTC staff    consumer liquor and misbehave  during night time. He also demanded action in this regard.
