Udupi, Mar 14, 2014: The case of suspicious missing of 5 year old Naveen from Dharmashree colony at Pamboor on February 23, and the subsequent tracing of his skeletal remains on March 9 has turned out to be a clear-cut case of murder. On March 13, Thursday, police have arrested a 16 year old youth in connection with the case.
The arrested boy is Vijay alias Argam (16) of Pamboor. He hailed from Tamil Nadu. It is learnt, on that fateful day, he had sodomised Naveen by taking him to a toilet and had warned the boy against divulging it to his parents. However, when Naveen paid no heed, Vijay killed the boy before fleeing.
Naveen was the son of Nagaraj and Asha, a labourer couple who resided in Dharmashree Colony, Pamboor.
