Teenager drowned, 4 others rescued in Netravathi river in Farangipet

Bantwal, Jan 08, 2019 : A teenager drowned in Netravathi river at Farangipet on January 08, Tuesday and the other 4 along with him were rescued.
Abdul Satthar (13) resident of Ammemar, here is identified as the deceased.
Sources said that Abdul Satthar along with his friends had been to river and reached the other side of the shore with the help of a boat, he accidentally drowned in bid to swim. On hearing their scream the loclas rushed to rescue and saved the other 4.
Bantwal police have registered the case.
