Team India Director Ravi Shastri offers prayers at Karvalu Mahavishnu Temple

Karkala, Feb 18, 2016: Former cricketer and acting Director of Team India, Ravi Shastri visited Karkala Erlappadi Govinduru Karvalu Mahavishnu Temple on February 17, Wednesday and offered his prayers. The Shastri family has been worshipping the Nagabana in the temple premises since generations.
Speaking on the occasion, Shastri said he was proud to be a Mangulurean and that the religious faith has brought him closer to his home district despite living far away.
Shastri has been visiting the temple annually. Temple Trustee Somashekhar Rao, senior journalist Manohar Prasad who too hails from Karvalu, Yuvaraj Nayak and others were present .
Udupi SP Annamalai and Member of Mujrai Department Kenja Sridhar Tantri too visited the Temple and offered prayers to the Lord.
