Mangaluru, June 13, 2015: According to a release, week-long talamaddale will be organised at Kateel under the auspices of the Durgaparameshwari Temple, an endowment temple, from June 15.
Noted Yakshagana artistes will participate in it at Saraswathi Sadana and it will be the 11th consecutive annual talamaddale organised by the temple. The prasangas scheduled are Girija Kalyana, Chamdramshu Charitre, Rukmangada Charitre, Bhaktha Ambareesha, Jambavathi Kalyana, Vamana Charitre, Indrajit Kalaga and Bheeshma. They are based on the scripts of Devidasa, Halasinahalli Narasimha Shastri and Madhur Venkatakrishna and two unknown authors.
The talamaddale would be from 4.30 p.m. every day. There would be totally eight prasangas as the last day, June 21, would have two episodes. There would be change in the timings on the last day. The first episode would be from 9.30 a.m. and the second one from 2 p.m.
Some of the bhagawathas (playback singers), who would participate, are Balipa Narayana Bhagawatha, Siribagilu Ramakrishna Mayya, Prapullachandra Nelyadi, Kubanur Sridhar Rao, Kuriya Ganapathi Shastri, Patla Satish Shetty, Dinesh Ammannaya, Padyana Ganapathi Bhat, Puttige Raghurama Holla and Ravichandra Kannadikatte.
Noted “arthadaris” are Kolyur Ramachandra Rao, M L Samaga, Jabbar Samo Sampaje, Sunnambala Vishveshwara Bhatta, Siddakatte Vishwanath Shetty, K Govinda Bhatta, Radhakrishna Kalchar, Ramananda Banari. Umakantha Bhatta, Kumble Sundar Rao, M. Prabhakara Joshi, Moodambail Gopalakrishna Shastri, M R Vasudeva Samaga and the like.
