T R Suresh takes charge as new Police Commissioner

Mangaluru, June 12, 2017:  T  R Suresh, an IPS Officer of the 2003 batch, took charge as the new City Police Commissioner from the outgoing Commissioner Chandra Sekhar  at the Commissionerate office here on June 12, Monday.

Speaking after taking charge,  the new Commissioner Suresh said he would strive his level best  to  maintain law and order and also   ensure that the Police  Department was people-friendly. He also stated that all the good works introduced by his predecessor Chandra Sekhar will continue.

T R Suresh who  is  from Shivamogga is an MBA  degree holder. Before being posted in Mangaluru, he was serving as DIG of Fire Services in Bengaluru. He has served as DCP(Law and Order) in Mysuru, SP in Kodagu, Raichur, Bagalkot and Tumakuru and as DCP (North) and (North East) in Bengaluru.
