Suratkal Buntara Sangha artistes to present “Tulunaduda Porlu-Tirl” at Vishwa Tuluvere Parba

Mangaluru, Dec 11, 2014 : A cultural event named “Tulunaduda Porlu-Tirl” by member artistes of Suratkal Buntara Sangha will  enthral the gathering  at the SR Hegde Chavadi Vedike on December 14 at 3 pm as part of the Vishwa Tuluvere Parba 2014 to be held at Sahyadri College premises at Adyar  from December 12 to 14. The Parba has been organised in commemoration of the silver jubilee of Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkoota and in association with Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy,.

 

 

 

The cultural programme “Tulunaduda Porlu-Tirl” will be choreographed by Tulu Academy Member Mohan Koppala and directed by Naveen Shetty Alake. The event will mirror the customs, traditions, culture, ethos, lifestyle of Tulunad and will also showcase  Nagaradhane, farm activities,  Yakshagana, Daivaradhane, Seemantha,  uttarakriya rituals of Tulunad.

It will also feature Balindra Pooja, Go Pooja, Kojambu, Keddesa and other celebrations. About 102 artistes right from a  three month old baby to an 80 year old elderly citizen will take part in this colourful programme to be held under the leadership of Ullas Shetty, President of Suratkal Buntara Sangha, Sudhaker Poonja, its Vice President and Leeladhar Shetty, Cultural Secretary.
