Mangaluru, Nov 7, 2016 : Sullia Police have registered a criminal case against one Unnikrishnan who is a magistrate in Kasargod and hails from Thrissur, on the charges of assaulting an autorickshaw driver as well as police personnel.
It is learnt, Unnikrishnan who had been to Kukke Subrahmanya Temple had arrived at Sullia town later by bus. From there he boarded an autorickshaw. Not knowing the local language, he had reportedly told something in Enlgish to the autorickshaw drver which the latter could not apprehend.
The auto driver tried to speak in Malayalam but the man reportedly tried to assault the driver who proceeded straight to the police station. It is said the judge tried to assault even the police personnel.
Investigations are underway.
