Sullia : 3 killed as tractor plunges into gorge

Sullia, May 08, 2015: The driver of a tractor-compressor and two other labourers lost their lives when the vehicle fell into a 20 feet deep gorge after the driver lost control over the vehicle at Sheni in Chokkady on May 7, Thursday.
The deceased are Madhav Gowda (35), the driver, Narayana Naik (35) from Sheni and Subrahmanya Rajendra (42), a labourer from Tamil Nadu. If the first two were crushed to death on the spot, Rajendra died while being rushed to the hospital. Another labourer named Devappa who too was in the ill-fated tractor however escaped with minor injuries.
The mishap occurred when the tractor was heading towards a quarry at Pajapalla. The local police have registered a case.
