Mangalore, Jan 14, 2014: Sudatta Jain, the district President of Akhila Bharathiya Karmika Sene announced to contest as the independent candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election from the Mangalore constituency.
Speaking at the press meet held on January 14, Tuesday, he said that he would contest as an independent candidate and work towards eradicating corruption if elected.
When questioned about his ideologies matching with AAP, Jain said that AAP is doing a commendable work, but since we have worked in the district from long time at the grass root level and can serve the district better.
He said that new schemes introduced by the state government of providing Rs 2 to girl students of class one, leads to corruption since they are trying to bribe the students and their parents.
After being on ‘Vanavasa’ for over 14years and rendering social service to the society, Jain wished to take a leap into politics and work more efficiently for the society.
Karmika sene leaders Dinesh JP Padukonaje from Moodabidri constituency, Harish Kumar Shetty from Bantwal constituency, Sadashiva from North Mangalore constituency, Jagadish Maroli from South Mangalore constituency, , H Ismail Shafi from Ullal constituency, Parshwanath Jain from Belthangady constituency were present at the press meet.
