Subrahmanya: Lady bus conductor stabbed by husband

Subrahmanya, Mar 20, 2014: In a shocking incident reported from Subrahmanya, a lady bus conductor  was stabbed by her very own husband  inside the bus on March 19, Wednesday.

The incident occurred when the bus operating on the Kasargod-Subrahmanya route was stationed at the Subrahmanya bus stand by the driver  for a tea-break.

It is learnt, Indira (30) was the conductor of the bus. Her husband Prakash who had boarded the bus at Sullia had stabbed her inside the bus.

The incident came to learnt when her screams were heard. She was stabbed in her chest and stomach and has been shifted to a hospital in Puttur after initial treatment at the local hospital. Even the accused Prakash has sustained injuries in his hand.

Indira who hails from Muddenahala in Bijapur district had married Prakash also of Bijapur just eight months ago.

Subrahmanya police are investigating the case.
