Students go on Hunger strike against college’s refusal to admission

Sullia: July 3, 2015: The Six students of Sullia Government College are on Hunger strike, staging protest against the college principal for allegedly denying admission.

The college authority responded saying that, the decision was taken against these students because of their indecent behavior in the college.

 

The students who staged protest are Shrikrishna AK, Shailesh PD, BBM Student Anil Joseph, Shivaram J, BA students Nithin, Chetan Rai.

 

Even, when the locals tried to convince the principal Meera Rao to give the admission to the students, the principal did not change her decision despite the protest.

 

Prinicpal Meera Rao said that the six boys were disrupting peace in the college premises by assaulting other students and teasing female students. Their parents were warned about the acts of the students, though continued assaulting others and bunking classes. She further said that during the college management meet, every member has expressed their denial for the admission to the six students. And a letter has also been sent to the University in this regard", Principal said.

 

However, the college will once again decide about giving the admission to the students after holding a meeting with the members of Internal discipline committee of the college.
