Sunil Kumar Bajal, the district president, made a speech and said: “The joint commissioner spoke to the DYFI about the Dalit development reservation fund on Nov 18, Wednesday, and informed that the Dalits have sold the Syntax provided to them by the corporation. However, when the organization demanded legal proof, the commissioner failed to provide it. This is an insult to the entire community of Dalits.”

A sum of Rs 3.6 lakhs is reserved for Dalit development in the corporation; but not even a fraction of it has been released so far. He alleged that the mayor and other BJP corporators have swallowed the funds meant for the poor.

The DYFI has the capacicity to stop any injustice taking place against the dalits. The ministers and the police must not forget that it was the same organisation which proved its capacity by making the then Deputy commiossioner A K Monnappa, to stay back home at least for a day.
Later the doll representing Madhukar Gadkar was burnt in front of the protest.
