Puttur, Dec 19, 2017:  A young man who approached an elderly man at Potladka in Kaukrady village on Monday evening seeking mango leaves and areca inflorescence for pooja purpose,   has escaped with cash and valuables from the house after  fooling the house owner.

 

RoberingWhen the youth approached  Elyanna Gowda (70) seeking  mango leaves and areca inflorescence Elyanma locked the house, kept the key in the window sill and went into his farm. However, by the time he ret urned the door of the house was wide open and the stranger youth escaped without waiting to collect the leaves and areca inforescnce.

To Yelyanna’s utter dismay, valuables and cash of Rs 50,000 was found stolen by breaking open the cupboard.

Uppinangady Police are investigating the case.
