St Agnes College to conduct Sunday Science School for kids

Mangalore, July 4, 2013: St Agnes College, Mangalore in association with Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL)  will organize Sunday Science School for children, an extension activity of the Science Forum at the College from July 14, Sunday.

 

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on July 4, Thursday, Dr Sr M Prem D’Souza, Principal of the College said that Sunday Science School is a Hands-On Science Activity programme and  is open for children studying in classes from 5th to 10th standards.

She also said that the programme will be organized in 2 levels, Junior (5th to 7th class) and Senior -1 (8th to 10th class).

The classes of two to three hours duration will be conducted on  20 Sundays during which over 50 science projects and experiments will be performed by every child under the guidance of trained resource persons, which helps to build the child’s own science home laboratory, she said.

The children will be charged Rs 3,500 for the 20 day class and the college will provide the materials required for it. The class will be held from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.
