Mangaluru, March 07, 2016: Sri Yogi Nirmalnathji was anointed as the new Raja of the Kadali Yogishwara Mutt, popularly known as Jogi Mutt at Kadri in Mangaluru on March 7, Monday in the presence of a large number of devotees from various parts of the city as well as the nation. On this occasion Sri Shriddhanathji was anointed as the new Raja of the Jogi Mutt branch at Vittal.
The rituals held once in 12 years commenced with a hawan and a homa under the direction of Vedamurthi Vittaldas Tantri followed by Jalabhisheka and the handing over of the sword by the outgoing Raja Sri Sandhyanathji who even offered Raj Tilak to the new Raja. All the documents pertaining to the Mutt were also handed over to the new seer by the outgoing seer who later attained a symbolic samadhi by taking a holy dip at Tannirbavi after a pooja.
Kiran Jogi, President of Jogi Samaja Sudharaka Sangha, Krishna Palemar, former minister, Yogish Bhat, former MLA, Roopa Bangera, Ashok Kumar DK, Corporators, Pradeep Kalkura, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President and others were present.
Office bearers of Akhil Bharath Varshiya Avadhooth Bekh Baraha Panth Yogi Mahasabha and Natha Panth seers also graced the occasion.
