Udupi, Sep 09, 2014: Addressing the media, Paryaya Kaniyur mutt seer Vidyavallbhatheertha Swamiji informed,  Sri Krishna Paryaya mutt will organise week-long Sri Krishna Jayanthi and Sri Krishna Leelothsava celebrations from September 11 to 19

in the premises of Sri Krishna mutt.  The week-long celebrations would be inaugurated by Krishnpaur mutt seer Vidyasagaratheertha Swamiji. Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Shobha Krandlaje and APMC (Bangalore) Director Dr Muddu Mohan will be present. The seer said the celebrations would be a cultural extravaganza. ‘Muddu Krishna’ and ‘Rangoli’ competitions will be held on September 16, he added.

Tiger Dance competition will be part of Sri Krishna Leelothsava. The competition will begin in the afternoon on September 17. Folk dance programmes will be a part of the celebration on Sri Krishna Leelothsava. Special attraction of the day is ‘Mosaru Kudike’ celebration. A team from Mumbai comprising men and women will take part in ‘Mosaru Kudike’ celebrations. The programme will be held in Car Street.

The seer said a two-day State-level photography contest ‘Tamron Colours off Sri Krishna’ would be held from September 16 to 17.  The other programmes include ‘Krishnarpanam Nrithyarupaka’, ‘Venuvadana’, ‘Violin Vadana’, ‘Nage Honalu’, ‘Jalataranga’, ‘Bhakthi Sangeetha’, and ‘Tala Tarangini’. Shimoga MP B S Yeddyurappa will be the guest in the valedictory ceremony. Shiroor mutt seer Laxmivaratheertha Swamiji will deliver the spiritual blessings on the occasion.
