Uppinangady, Feb 23, 2018: The Uppinangady Police have on February 23, Friday traced the body of a man from Somawarapete who was reportedly murdered by his own employees.
The deceased is Mahesh, a furniture shop owner. It is alleged that his workers Raghu and Kiran had smothered him to death at Budoli near Maani and discarded the body near the Kempu Hole in Shiradi Ghat area.
The police began to search for Mahesh’s body after the accused surrendered before the Somwarapete police and revealed the truth. The accused were brought to the spot to identify the exact place where they had dumped the body as a search by the police the previous night had not yielded result.
Though the accused had stated that a financial dispute was the reason for the murder, there is a suspicion that an illicit relationship might have culminated in the murder.
