Mangaluru, Jan 20, 2015 : The society must condemn and socially boycott those who make provocative speeches, said DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai.
The minister said as above when scribes questioned if any action would be taken against RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat for his speech at the Virat Hindu Sangama held at Puttur. He further stated that appropriate action would be taken as per the law of the land in such cases.
The minister who was speaking to reporters here on January 19, Monday in the wake of the communal clashes at Karaya in Belthangady in the aftermath of the Virat Hindu Sangama held at Puttur, stressed the need for maintaining communal harmony. He also urged people not to pay heed to rumours.
Rai also stated that it was wrong to hold conventions on communal lines. At the same time he was all praise for the swift action of the Police Department in the wake of clashes at Karaaya.
When his attention was drawn towards the Bharatiya Hindu Parishad launched by Puttur Block Congress President, Rai said the Congress has nothing to do with the organisation.
