Kasargod, July 7,2016: : Snehalaya, a rehabilitation home for the destitutes, based at Pavoor in Manjeshwar, has given a fresh lease of life to 30 year old Krishnakumar from Chhattisgarh who was found in a ragged state amid heaps of wastes near the State Bank area in Mangaluru six months ago.
Krishnakumar who seemed to be mentally disturbed was rescued by Joseph Crasta of Snehalaya and shifted to a hospital. The treatment at the hospital and the subsequent care and rehabilitation at Snehalaya has helped Krishnakumar recover fully. Based on the information provided by him, Snehalaya had recently contacted his family at Kurda village of Jangir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh.
His father Firad Kumar who arrived along with a relative to Snehalaya has returned with Krishnakumar to his hometown after expressing immense gratitude to the institution for helping his son recover.
It is learnt that Krishnakumar was the fourth of the eight children of Firadkumar, Pampa Guvar couple and had studied till 7th standard. He had reportedly gone missing nearly one and a half years ago. After efforts by his family to trace him had failed, they had lodged a police complaint.
Proud of Snehalaya . We are happy that they have joined the youth to the family. If he had fallen in the wrong hands his life would be ruined completetly. Luckily he is back
We have to support and give some part of our savings NGO’s . As we cannot do such things personally but at least help them by giving a little to the needy.
