Shakthi Residential School, PU College celebrate Teachers’ Day

Mangaluru, Sep 06, 2018:  A teacher is the one who  guides the students from darkness to light and from ignorance  towards knowledge,  said  former MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik.

 

He was  speaking as a chief guest at the  Teachers’ Day celebrations held at Shakthi  Residential  School and Shakthi PU College at Shakthinagar on September 5, Wednesday.

J R Lobo, former MLA who also spoke, said   teachers are forever remembered by their students and added that many top leaders  owe their success in life to their teachers.

 Nagarajappa, Deputy Director of District PU  Education Department  was present as a chief guest. K C Naik, Managing Trustee of Sri Gopalakrishna Temple  presided over the function. Sanjith Naik, Secretary of Shakthi Education Trust, was also present on the dais.

Retired teachers  who are contributing towards the society even  during their retirement years were honoured. Those felicitated are B Srinivas Rao, Savitri Srinivas Rao, K A Rohini, Bailur Narayana Tantri, B Shambhu Shetty and B Narayan Nayak.

Prabhaker G S, Principal of Shakthi PU College, Baikady Janardhan Achar, Administrative Officer, Madhulika Rao, Principal of Shakthi Residential School, Naseema Banu, Development Officer, Suguna Naik, Anju Alva and others were present.
