Moodbidri, Dec 22, 2013: BJP leader and former minister CT Ravi has said both former CM Yeddyurappa as well as the BJP have realised the consequences of the latter’s decision of quitting the BJP.
Speaking to reporters here, CT Ravi said the party will take a decision with regard to reinducting Yeddyurappa into the party within ten days. The Parliamentary board of the BJP will decide on the responsibilities to be entrusted on Yeddyurappa once he rejoins the party, Ravi added and said the party will give Yeddyurappa a ticket if he evinces interest in contesting elections.
The BJP has set its eyes on the upcoming Parliamentary elections, Ravi said and made it a point that the party wants to see Modi as the prime minister of the nation.
CT Ravi claimed that the controversies that arose over the Shaadi Bhagya scheme in the state as well as the Centre’s proposal to ban areca have proved beneficial for the party.
Asked whether he would contest the next elections, Ravi said he was not keen, but at the same time added that he will honour the party’s decision in case it asks him to contest.
