Mangaluru, Apr 9, 2016: DK District Working Journalists’ Association organised a condolence meeting at Press Club on April 9, Saturday to pay tributes to Prajavani reported Humaid Hussain who breathed his last due to a heart attack during a study tour to Charmadi Ghat on April 8.
Speaking on the occasion senior journalist Harish Rai said that Humaid Hussain’s sudden demise has come as a shock to the journalists. Hussain was sincere in his works and was a dedicated journalist known for his creative writings, Rai said.
Senior Journalist from Hosa Digantha Guruvappa Balepuni said that Hussain was an inspiration for young budding journalists.
Vaartha Bharathi journalist Sathya who was also part of the trekking team, expressed her pains and said that Humaid was every excited to be part of the team. "But, as we climbed the hill, Humaid developed severe chest pain and he was unable to go any further, it was indeed a struggle to bring him down from the hills and rush him to the hospital where he breathed his last," she recalled the tragedy.
Raviprasad Kamila and many other journalists spoke on the occasion. Information Officer Khader Shah was also present.
