Kundapur, Mar 15, 2014 : The Congress government at the Centre which has been involved in a series of corruption scams since the past ten years has taken the country to the verge of bankruptcy, alleged former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa who is contesting from Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency.
Addressing a party workers meeting at Shiroor Byndoor Shakti Kendra in Uppunda town on March 14, Friday, he further said the Congress government has only hit hard the lives of the common man. Further he contended that the whole world believes that India lacks able leaders and added that the void will be filled by Narendra Modi this time.
Continuing his verbal attack on the Congress government, Yeddyurappa alleged that the Congress was resorting to vote bank politics. He also charged the party of sowing the seeds of casteism in the society.
On this occasion, Raitha Sangha President Deepak Kumar Shetty and Veerabhadra Shetty were formally inducted into the party by Yeddyurappa.
K Lakshminarayana, former MLA, Gowri Devadiga, ZP Member, TP Member Babu Hegde and others were present.
