Mangalore Today News Network

Udupi, Oct 19, 2016: Speaking to media at Udupi  on Oct 18, Tuesday, BJP Udupi district president Mattar Ratnakar Hegde said the district BJP will organise a huge protest rally at Clock Tower condemning the failures of the Congress-led state government.

Dist President Hegde said the recent murder of RSS activist Rudresh in Bengaluru has shocked the people in the state. He was brutally hacked to death. Stating that the state government is “glorifying violence,” he said the BJP and RSS activists hare fear for life. There is no security for the lives of Sangh Pariwar members.

He said the state government has done nothing to set right the law and order, which is deteriorating every day. The government is only full of confusions. The previous BJP government had introduced many programmes for the people. However, most of the benefits are discontinued by the present Congress-led state government.

The milk incentive worth Rs 450 crore is kept pending, he said. Kerosene, which was being offered at subsidised rate, is not provided to the fishermen, he said and added that protest would be held against the problems encountered by the fishermen in the days to come. He said that the roads are filled with potholes and the repair works have not yet been taken up.

‘Chalo Udupi’ :  He also strongly condemned the remarks made by the activists who took part in  ‘Chalo Udupi.’ He said the “so-called,” “self-claimed” intellectuals have issued derogatory remarks against Pejawar seer. If at all the activists dare to lay seize to Sri Krishna temple, the public of the temple town would be compelled to show off their strength, he warned.

Ridiculing District In-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj over his statements made against Rama, Krishna and Valmiki, Hegde said the statement by the minister is nothing but to support and please beef consumers. The irresponsible statements were untimely and the minister should be held responsible for everything.

Development works  : He said that let the district in-charge minister take up the development works instead getting into unnecessary controversies. Let Madhwaraj take up the repair work of the roads and set right the problems and unhygienic conditions that exist in the government hospital, he added.

The minister should also stop interfering in the affairs of gram panchayat. The concept of decentralisation of power is intrigued. He demanded that immediate measures should be taken to eliminate the scarcity of sand. The sand should not be transported to the neighbouring districts.

Naturally not contented with Pramod Madwaraj’s statement about Rama Krishna Valamiki. These talks are provoking and the public triggers. Never comment on what is not necessary? Because he is in Congress and gain the support of the people he cannot be careless in his speech.
