Sand smuggling : Officials seize 5 tippers

Udupi, Dec 31, 2020:     Officials of the Department of Mines and Geology seized five tippers which were unauthorisedly transporting sand on December 30, Wednesday morning.

In  one case,  the officials sezied two mini tippers and the six tonnes of sand loaded in them at Perampalli. The case was then transferred to Manipal Police Station.

In another case, three tippers  were seized on the National Highway 66 in Udupi Town Police station limits. In this case, 30 tonnes  sand has been seized.
