Mangaluru, Feb 18 2018 (DHNS): Peace is the basic requirement of life and not an ultimate goal, said Isha Foundation Founder and Padma Vibhushan awardee Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. "One needs to look within to carry out an internal audit of oneself and make the experiences of life as profound as possible to achieve the well being," he added.
The Sadhguru was delivering the Founder’s Day lecture of Karnataka Bank Ltd, at its head office in Mangaluru on Sunday.
He said that all living beings want to lead a full-fledged life. However, human beings do not know what it means to have a full-fledged life as they never feel contented. To attain the very fulfilment, one has to experience the profundity of life. People have been unknowingly drifting away from peace and joy to the extent that they have become inaccessible today.
Elaborating on how a better financial management could help achieve national progress, the Sadhguru opined that business needs agility of finance more than bureaucracy of finance.
As a part of the CSR initiatives of the bank, commitment letters were handed over to Sri Shringeri Mutt CEO and administrator Dr V R Gowri Shankar, Lions Club International Chikkamagaluru district governor Harish H R and Bharatiya Vikas Trust (Udupi) CEO Manohar Katgeri on the occasion.
Delivering the keynote address, Karnataka Bank MD and CEO Mahabaleshwara M S said that the turnover of the bank as on December 31, 2017 is Rs 1,02,182 crore.
