Saabith murder: 3 arrested for links with accused

Kasargod, July 10, 2013 : Kasargod police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of TA Saabith (19) near JP Colony last Sunday. Police said the arrested three had links with the accused in the murder, but were not directly involved in the act.

DySP Mohan Chandran said the trio had spoken to the accused after the latter committed the crime but failed to inform the police.

Police said two accused namely Akshay and Vaishakh  are still at large. Police meanwhile have seized a scooter used for the crime and also a cell phone.

The scooter was in the name of the brother of one of the accused Akshay.Police located the scooter abandoned nearly 200 meters away from the scene of the crime.  The cell phone seized is that of Akshay who had given it to his friends before fleeing.

There were blood stains in the scooter and a jacket under the seat. Presently the police are on the lookout for the main accused Akshay and Vaishakh.

Further investigations are underway.
