Mangalore, Jun 26, 2013: Abubakkar Kulai, Dakshina Kannada District President of Social Democratic Party of India alleged  that the Congress government which has failed to fulfill the people’s demand has been trying to spread violence in DK.

Address media men at Press Club on June 26, Wednesday; he further alleged that criminal acts by Congress party members, duly supported by party leaders, has been on the rise in the coastal district ever since the Congress government came to power in the state.

Stating that   there have been several incidents of Congress activists attacking SDPI workers, he accused the police of not accepting the complaints. He said the SDPI will be staging a protest in front of the DC office on June 27 at 10 am to condemn the attack on SDPI activists.

Abubakkar Kulai also said that SDPI district committee will  hold a seminar at NGO Hall on June 27 at 4 pm in order to create awareness against certain ‘inhuman laws’

P K Ponnappa, High Court lawyer, K Purushotham Poojary, senior advocate, Mangalore, Abubakkar, advocate, Madikeri will participate as the resource persons, he informed.

SDPI State Secretary Akram Hassan, SDPI President of Mangalore Legislative Constituency unit Nasir Sajipa and district Secretary Ashraf Manchi, were present.
