Sajipa Mohammed Nasir, the vice president of SDPI, delivered the introductory address, in which he said that when injustice is done against one innocent person, ten terrorists are born. He also said that the state of Karnataka, which has so far enjoyed the number one position, is now losing its reputation because of the wickedness of the present ruling government. People have been facing a wide range of problems such as hike in the prices of essential commodities ever since the BJP came to power, he added.

Elias Mohammed, the state president of the Popular Front of India, was the chief guest of the event. He said that a wide range of terrorist activities such as fake police encounters, custodial deaths, government terrorism, and so on are taking place in the country, despite which the finger of blame is pointed to Muslim youth. Although people of various castes and religions live in India, any case of communal violence is blamed on minorities, he added.

Stating that there are innumerable cases of corruption within the state, he said that the state government is full involved in all sorts of corrupt activities, robbing the state of Rs. 1,70,000 crore. He also stated that all people involved in terrorist activities are the enemies of the country irrespective of their religious beliefs.

Nirvanappa, the state committee member of SDPI, said that every minute, a case of corruption, murder, or robbery is reported in the country. He added that the SDPI has been created with the intention of fighting against corruption and harassment and demanding the rights of minorities.

Abdul Jaleel K., the district president of the SDPI; G. Rajashekar of the Komu Souharda Vedike in Udupi; Lancy Tauro, the treasurer of SDPI; Shahul Hameed, the president of SDPI Vidhan Sabha; and Mohammed Shareef SDPI were present.
