Mangalore Today News Network

Karkala, Feb 16, 2017 : In an interesting incident reported from Mujalottu near Kedinje in Belman, rumour mills were agog on February 15, Wednesday after a human skull and some bones were found in a pond in the village. The crux of the matter is that no sooner the skeletal remains were found  people began linking it to the sensational murder case of Udupi businessman Bhasker Shetty.

bhaskar shettyThe suspicion mainly because the priest Niranjan Bhat who is one of the main accused in the case was serving as a priest of a temple close by and used to come near this pond often.

After police rushed to the spot, forensic experts from Mangaluru  arrived and took the bones   for lab tests.

Yet another suspicion is that it might be the remains of a man from Belady who is missing since October 2016.

It is also said that  the clothes found  in the pond were white in colour and this  man was also wearing white clothes when last seen.

Whatever may be the argument, everything now depends on the  lab report.
