Mangalore, Mar 1, 2014 : District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak released a book entitled ’Nalin Kumar Kateel Samsadaraagi 5 Varsha: Kshetra Abhivriddhiya Pathadalli’ at the party office in the city on March 1, Saturday.
The book brought out by the district unit of the party elaborates on the various developmental works initiated in Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency during the past five years of tenure of Nalin Kumar as MP. The book also details on the several projects that are on pipeline in the region.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Nalin said he has completely utilised the Rs 19.61 crore of MP fund in his constituency and added that he had raised nearly 280 issues in the Parliament including the demand pertaining to inclusion of Tulu in eighth schedule, areca problem, Niddodi project issue etc. He also said he has actively taken part in nearly 15 discussions in the parliament.
He said a in total Rs 1,340.83 crore has been utilized for various projects in his constituency during the past five year period and added there have been regular monitoring to ensure that the funds were put to right use.
The railway needs have also been taken due consideration, Nalin said and referred to the Baikampady overbridge and underpasses at Mahakalipadpu, Padil Kudupady and Adyar.
Nalin also exuded confidence that the BJP would rise to power and Narendra Modi would be the next Prime Minister.
