Mangaluru, Sep 14, 2016: Rotary District Governor Dr RS Nagarjuna said that the Rotary Club Hill Side has come up with the concept of developing the district by initiating four new projects with the intention of  serving the society.

Addressing press persons at Press Club on September 14 Wednesday he said that Namma Halli, Namma Bhoomi, Enabling Children and Diabetic Condition Detection are the four projects which are lined up by Rotary club.

Namma Halli project is to develop people’s living standards by elevating them with broad infrastructural support like having good toilets, public address systems for calamity alarm indication, marked roads, demarked living and play areas. Rotary Club has identified a place at Kateel to take up this project, he added.

He also said that Namma Bhoomi project is to plant 7000 saplings per zone thus reaching one lakh sapling plantations in association with a local NGO and allied social service organization.

Enabling Children programme is dedicated to ignite young minds in students, motivate teachers, and parents in absolute life skills emboldening the future of this country.

Diabetic Condition detection will make people comfortable by helping them detect their diabetic condition, informed Dr RS Nagarjuna.

Through this concept we need to spread strong message that Rotary Club is not only meant for urban areas but also concerned about rural areas, said Nagarjuna.
