Mangaluru Sep 27, 2016: District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai inaugurated Jana-Mana, an interactive programme with beneficiaries of Anna Bhagya, Ksheera Bhagya, Manaswini and various welfare schemes of the state government, at Town Hall on September 27, Tuesday. The programme was jointly organized by District Administration, Zilla Panchayat and Dakshina Kannada Information and Public Relations Department.
Addressing the gathering, Ramanath Rai said that Siddaramaiah led state government has fulfilled nearly 85% of its promises made in its manifesto by implementing various schemes.
He also said that currently the government is disbursing Rs 1,500 per student under the Vidyasiri scheme.
He later interacted with the beneficiaries of welfare schemes of the government.
DC Dr KG Jagadeesha, ADC Kumar, MLAs Abhaya Chandra Jain, Mohiudeen Bava, Mayor Harinath, President of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Acedamy Roy Castelino, President of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy Mohammed Haneef and others were present.
