Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2016: District in Charge Minister B Ramanath Rai inaugurates National Ayurveda Day at Town hall on October 28, Friday. The program is jointly organized by Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath and Ayush Department.Meanwhile Ramanath Rai unveiled "Namma Ayurveda" book.
Addressing the gathering Ramanath Rai said that, people need to know the importance of homemade medicines and gained lot of confidence in Ayurveda medicines , in the entire state there are myriad number of parks which consists of medicinal herbs and such herbs is been used to cure diseases.
He also said that, six years back even I had signs of diabetes and doctor prescribed few medicines but am not used to take medicines ,as I strongly believe in exercises and healthy body diet to keep myself fit and healthy.
MLA JR Lobo said that, today several people are suffering from diabetes and there are certain diseases which cannot be cured by homeopathy. Ayurvedic medicine is a part of Indian culture which has to be promoted. Few ayurvedic medicines are sidelined due to improper documentation and people find difficult to procure information about it.
Prior to the occasion procession was carried out from Bunts Hostel to Town hall, which was flagged off by MLA JR Lobo.

We have to realize the importance of Ayurveda as the effect is slow but the people are bothered about the draw back. |
