Responding to various comments made by BJP workers and MLA C. T. Ravi, he urged BJP activists to think before they speak. Commenting on CM D. V. Sadananda Gowda’s statement differentiating the corruption in Delhi and the corruption in Karnataka, he said that this is just the BJP’s attempt to justify the corruption in the state. Stating that the BJP trusts neither the Lokayukta nor the judiciary, he said that the BJP should first learn to respect the authority of these esteemed bodies.

Stating that the chief minister’s defense of corrupt ministers is inexcusable, he said that it does not behoove a chief minister to justify the actions of corrupt ministers. He alleged that the ruling party is misleading people by stating that the exposure of scams has political reasons.

Commenting on Advani’s Jan Chetana Ratha Yatra, he said that the yathra should never enter the state, and even if it does, Advani should first try to clean up the corruption within his own party.

Congress leaders Ibrahim Kodijal and Ivan D’Souza; Shashidhar Hegde, the former mayor; Mithun Rai, the president of the district youth Congress; and many others were present at the press conference.
