Mangaluru, July 05, 2016: Marking the culmination of month-long Ramadan fasting, Muslims will celebrate Id on July6, Wednesday. According to an official statement by Dakshina Kannada Kasi Twaka Ahamed Musliyar, the moon was not sighted last evening July4, Monday.

In view of the celebrations, the city police have decided to divert traffic movement from the Light House Hill road on Wednesday from 6 a.m. till the prayers are over. No vehicles will allowed from the State Bank to Lighthouse Hill Road.

No vehicles will be allowed from Arvind Motors show room towards LHH Road. Similarly no vehicles will be allowed on the narrow road connecting LHH Road and K.S. Rao Road.   Vehicles from State Bank will ply on K.S. Rao Road and Falnir Road.  Temporary parking facility will be provided on Light House Hill Road stretch between the Central Library and Vijaya Bank.  Similar parking facility will be available on a portion of LHH Road from Hampankatta Circle, said a press release.
