Rakshana Vedike stages protest demanding inclusion of Tulu in 8th schedule of Constitution

Mangaluru, Jan 05, 2019: The Tulunada Rakshana Vedike and the Kalavidara Ghataka staged a protest in front of the DC office here on January 5, Saturday to prevail upon the Government to include Tulu in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

Speaking on the occasion Rakshana Vedike leader Yogish Shetty Jeppu accused elected representatives of failure to duly highlight  this demand  of the people of the region. No concerted efforts are also made in this direction by the authorities, he alleged.

 He also stated that his organisation will protest in front of the residence of the Chief Minister if its demands were not fulfilled.

Actors Rajitha Kudla and Ranveer also spoke.
