Rai says he too received threat calls, but ignored them

Mangaluru, Oct 29, 2015: Threat calls to ministers are making news. If State Youth Affairs, Sports and Fisheries Minister Abhayachandra Jain recently complained to the Moodbidri police stating that he had received a threatening call from a person claiming himself to be underworld don Ravi Poojary,  in a latest development, DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has also spoken about threat calls to him.

Rai says he too receivedBut he had something different to say. Rai claims that though he too had received threat  calls, he never chose to lodge a complaint but simply ignored it.

’’I am least bothered about such threat calls which are common in public life," he said and also claimed that he had received threat calls despite him being innocent.

Rai said so while speaking to media men on the sidelines of a function.

Reacting to allegations of BJP leaders that he had not visited the residence of slain Bhajrang Dal activist Prashanth Poojary of Moodbidri, Rai said he refrained from visiting Prashanth’s residence to avoid politics regarding the murder.
